EXCELLENCE IN ENGINEERING RESEARCH AND EDUCATION
The Schulich School of Engineering consistently strives for excellence in all endeavours. Many of our programs, initiatives, as well as individual faculty and staff members have been recognized for their efforts. 
  • The Schulich School of Engineering has been ranked the top school in Canada for teaching sustainable engineering two years running. The survey of 37 engineering schools across the country was part of the annual Corporate Knights magazine ranking of social progress at business, engineering and law schools.
  • Winner of three national awards from the Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation for women in engineering activities
  • Among the largest number and the largest percentage of female faculty members in Canada
  • First engineering school in western Canada to appoint a female dean
  • Award-winning engineering internship program with 12- to 16-month placements;
  • First school in Canada to have won the international Leadership and Excellence in the Application and Development of Integrated Manufacturing (LEAD) Award given by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers
  • Highest number of endowed chairs in Canada for a school of its size
