CIVIL ENGINEERING STUDENT TEAMS
The Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race
The Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race is perhaps the most illustrious event to be part of as a student of civil engineering in Canada. The University of Calgary team was one of the founding participants of GNCTR when it was first held in 1972 and since then has produced a lineage of prestigious toboggans. In 2009, the Schulich team designed and raced the fastest toboggan of the competition and placed third overall.

CIVIL ENGINEERING STUDENT SOCIETIES
Civil Engineering Undergraduate Society (CEUS)
CEUS is a non-profit student organization that represents civil engineering students at the Schulich School of Engineering. Located on the third floor of F Block, CEUS administers the desks and homerooms for the third- and fourth-year students and operates the Real Civil Ceusperstore (ENF 319) during lunch hour. Come and buy snacks when the boot is out!
CEUS participates in Frosh Week and Engg Week showing civil pride, and are associated with the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) student chapter. They offer site tours, industry mixers and a luncheon speaker series. To contact CEUS, you can make the trek up to the third floor of the civil block and find them in the homerooms (ENF 305, 307, 325) or you can email ceus [at] ucalgary [dot] ca.
