Graduate Admissions for the Schulich School of Engineering

In order to be admitted to a graduate program at the University of Calgary, you must meet the minimum admission requirements set by both the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the program you wish to apply to.

Faculty of Graduate Studies Requirements

Degree

Applicants must hold or obtain a four-year baccalaureate degree or equivalent from a recognized institution. Degrees from international institutions are evaluated based on their academic equivalency to those at the University of Calgary. International Degree Requirements

Grades

An admission grade point average of 3.0 or higher ( on a 4.0 scale ) is required. This GPA is typically calculated based on the last two years of the undergraduate degree. International Grade Requirements

English Language Proficiency

Students whose primary language is not English will be required to fulfill the English language proficiency requirement.

Application
Graduate applications can be completed through the online application form, accessible through each graduate program website. All applications to the University of Calgary must include official transcripts, appropriate letters of reference, official TOEFL, IELTS, GMAT or GRE scores if applicable, and the application fee. Each graduate program forms a committee to review submitted applications. The recommended applications are submitted to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Download Admission Reference Letter Package
