University of Calgary Formula SAE Design Team
Comprised of highly motivated undergraduate students from numerous faculties within the university, the SAE team is made up of students from first to fourth year.
The team involves undergrads from the Schulich School of Engineering, who design and analyze the car’s components; students from the Haskayne School of Business and the Faculty of Social Science are charged with marketing, sponsorship, fundraising and community involvement. SAE Formula Team website
Mini Baja Team
The mechanical and manufacturing department of the University of Calgary has endorsed the idea of a Mini Baja Team for over a decade now.
The purpose of creating a Mini Baja vehicle is to not only encourage innovative mechanical design but to participate at a competitive level. Mini Baja Team website
University of Calgary Aero Design Team
The University of Calgary Aero Design Team operates as part of Schulich AeroDesign, an undergraduate club for students who are interested in aerospace and aviation. It provides professional development, social events and opportunities to engage with industry professionals. The design team competes in the annual SAE Aero Design competition to design, build and fly a remotely controlled aircraft. There are many restrictions in place to increase the difficulty of competition and students are challenged to produce creative and innovative designs. For more information: ucaerodesign@gmail.com.
