UNDERGRADUATE ACCREDITATION PLANNING
The Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board's (CEAB) visit to the Schulich School of Engineering occured on 27-29 November 2011. The members of the CEAB Visit Planning Committee would like to thank the faculty and Staff of the Schulich School of Engineering for helping us organize the visit!

Engineering Accreditation

In Canada, engineering program accreditation falls under the jurisdiction of the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB). The purpose of accreditation is:

“… to identify to the constituent members of Engineers Canada those engineering programs whose graduates are academically qualified to begin the process to be licensed as professional engineers in Canada. The process of accreditation emphasizes the quality of the students, the academic and support staff, and the educational facilities.” CEAB Accreditation Criteria and Procedures 2010

Accreditation visits occur at the request of the engineering school, typically once every six years (the Schulich School of Engineering’s last accreditation visit occurred in Fall 2005).

Latest News - Fall 2011

Updated 22 December 2011

The Schulich School of Engineering accreditation review wrapped up Tuesday, 29 November 2011 after three days of close inspection by the reviewers. The team of a dozen visitors found all of the material they needed about our undergraduate programs. They had a few questions and we were able to answer them all. Overall, we feel the visit went very well. The results of the 2011 accreditation review will be communicated to the School in June 2012.
